Cancer nurses

Croydon Health Services is the local provider of diagnostic, surgical and other treatment services for patients with common cancers. We are part of the Royal Marsden Partners (RMP) West London Cancer Alliance, and work closely with neighbouring Trusts to deliver quality care to patients accessing our services.

Our Cancer Services is delivered by a multidisciplinary team (MDT) comprising of Specialist Consultants, Doctors, Consultant Nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Oncologists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Radiologists, Pathologists, MDT Coordinators and Macmillan Support Officers.

We aim to provide a high quality patient centred service, in a holistic and supportive manner. Being diagnosed with cancer is a difficult and worrying time. As a patient, you need to know that your care is as good as it can be. We are here to provide outstanding personalised cancer care to the people of Croydon, our specialist teams will be with you at every step of the way.

Rapid Diagnostic Assessment Centre

The Rapid Diagnostic Assessment Centre (RDAC) provides quicker access to specialist clinical support and diagnostics for patients who have presented to their GP with vague and non specific symptoms that require further investigation. For more information if you have been referred to this service.

Acute Oncology Service

The Acute Oncology Service (AOS) is nurse-led and supported by clinical and medical oncology specialist registrars, ensuring that our patients who develop acute cancer-related or cancer treatment-related problems, receive the care they need quickly and in the most appropriate setting. The Macmillan Information & Support Centre

The Macmillan Information & Support Centre helps make sure that anyone affected by cancer in Croydon has free access to good quality information, emotional and practical support. Discover all the Centre has to offer.

The Macmillian psychological support service

We understand that a cancer diagnosis can feel like an emotional rollercoaster. We are here to support you from diagnosis, through treatment and be-yond. For more information how to access the service read here

Macmillan Palliative Care Team

Palliative care is the active total care of any patient who has a life limiting illness regardless of the stage of the illness. This includes patients who have
cancer and also other non-cancer conditions that have a life-limiting diagnosis. For more information read here.

Clinical Research

A clinical trial compares the effects of 1 treatment with another. It may involve patients, healthy people, or both. You can ask your doctor or a patient organisation if they know of any clinical trials that you may be eligible to join.
