Croydon PGMC

The Postgraduate Medical Centre (PGMC) provides education, training and continuing development of postgraduate professionals in hospital medicine, general practice and dentistry at Croydon University Hospital

Croydon University Hospital is a centre of learning and training for medical trainees with various courses being offered at the Croydon University Hospital PGMC. 

We also offer additional courses in Surgery and Obstetrics and Gynaecology as part of continuing professional development. 

 

Surgery

Courses offered include Intercollegiate Basic Surgical Skills Course, ATLS, Training the Trainers, Training and Assessment in Practice (TAIP) and workshops on Suturing and Anastomosis and Laparoscopic Skills. 

 

Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Courses include the 3rd and 4th Degree Perineal Tear Course and Early Pregnancy Update Course. 

 

Resuscitation

Croydon University Hospital also offers Resuscitation Council UK Courses such as ALS and APLS. 

 

Simulation Training

Some of these courses along with simulation training will be offered in the Trust’s state-of-the-art Clinical Skills & Simulation Centre on the 2nd Floor, Woodcroft Wing at Croydon University Hospital.
