Data retention policy

All feedback to the site is treated in the strictest confidence and we do not send out unsolicited emails.

Our platform, Sitekit CMS, operates with a clear data-retention policy in order to comply with the Privacy Enhancing Technology guidance from the Information Commissioner. This means that data has predefined time limits for storage and is only retained by the system for as long as it is considered useful.

You may be asked for personal information if you want to take advantage of specific services such as sending an e-mail via the site. In each case we will only use the personal information you provide to deliver the services you have told us you wish to take part in. The information you submit will be treated in the strictest confidence. However, we cannot guarantee the security of the global internet/email systems. This means that it is possible (although unlikely) that your enquiry/message and our response may be read by someone other than yourself or ourselves. If you are concerned about this possible loss of privacy please contact us by alternative means such as post or telephone.

We welcome any feedback regarding the site, or the NHS Trust in general. In both cases, the individual does not need to supply any personal details if they do not wish to do so. All feedback is treated in strict confidence. For complaints, the appropriate Trust procedures are enforced.

The Trust does not send out unsolicited emails and users should not open any messages that they are unsure of the contents or the sender. All content is checked for viruses, however this does not stop malicious software from generating hoax messages purporting to be from the Trust. We are not responsible for any damages or loss caused by these emails.
