About MyCare Croydon Health Services - Online Patient Access

Mycare LogoMyCare Croydon Health Services online patient access system will launch this September!

In line with our commitment to improving our patient services, we have changed the way we deliver outpatient appointments.

What is MyCare Croydon Health Services?

A secure and confidential online system provided by Croydon Health Services (CHS), servicing Croydon University Hospital and Purley Hospital, for patients 18 and over to look at their hospital records, view hospital appointments, receive some test results and receive messages from their hospital care team. It is available from a smartphone.

What information will be available about my appointment?

You will be able to see:

Location · Appointment status · Specialty · Appointment date and time · Digital copy of appointment letter · A selection of results · Results explanation key · Maps · Questionnaires

How do I access the online appointment manager?

You can register for MyCare Croydon Health Services once your first or next appointment at Croydon Univversity Hospital or Purley War Memorial Hospital has been scheduled. When your appointment has been scheduled, if we have mobile number for you, you will receive a text message with a link inviting you to register for MyCare Croydon Health Services. The link connects to the MyCare homepage where you may register and view your details and appointments. Once registered, you can access an FAQ section that will be able to help you through the process.

Laptop What do I need to register?

To register you will need a working email address. At the point of registration, you will be requested to provide your date of birth, email address and mobile phone number. As part of the recommendation process, you’ll set up your own username and password. We recommend that you do not use a shared mobile number or email address when you sign up, to keep your sensitive health information confidential.

Can I access my GP record or other hospital records through MyCare?

No. Only appointments booked by Croydon University and Purley Hospitals can be viewed on the system.

Can I change or cancel my appointments using MyCare?

The majority of appointments will be available to read-only.

Can I opt-out from receiving text messages to register for MyCare Croydon Health Services?

Yes. The text message provides the option to stop receiving any further messages. You can also opt-out from receiving messages once you are logged into MyCare Croydon Health Services.

What software is needed?

MyCare Croydon Health Services can be accessed using your mobile phone web browser. If you have trouble viewing it, you might need to get an updated version of your web browser. A PDF reader is needed to view some of the documents.

How do register once I have received a text message from CHS?

Open the MyCare text message, select the invite link (in the invitation text message) and complete your details. You will then receive an SMS message containing a 5-digit code. If you do not receive a code, you can request another code by selecting the button labelled “I did not receive a code”. Then, provide your consent to access your care information at Croydon Health Services.
