Day in the Life Episode 4: Anthony Thompson

Hidden Heroes: Day in the Life as told by our staff in Croydon

This week we round up the first series of Day in the Life by going behind-the-scenes to showcase how our #TeamCroydon colleagues are caring for our patients.

Giving a unique insight into what keeps #TeamCroydon going, we speak to our staff on the frontline and in essential support roles, to find out in their own words:

· What do they enjoy most about their role?

· How the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted them?

· What makes them proud to work for Croydon Health Services NHS Trust?

This week we visit Anthony Thompson, Associate Director of Nursing for our integrated adult care teams. We learn more about how his senior role allows him to provide strategic support for nursing staff working on our inpatient wards on a daily basis.

Anthony dives a little deeper into how the COVID-19 pandemic has brought with it many challenges for his teams, but expresses his pride in the resilience that his colleagues displayed in order to combat those challenges.

Check out Anthony’s ‘Day in the Life’ video below or you can find it on our Instagram: @croydonhealthservices  and our Twitter: @croydonhealth

Make sure to go back and check out all of the episodes from series one. Watch out for series two, where we will continue to highlight the great efforts of our doctors, surgeons, nurses, midwives, cleaners, porters, administrators and volunteers.
