Overview
Croydon Health Services is the main provider of maternity care for local women and undertakes approximately 4,000 deliveries per year.
Midwives work in the hospital and in the community to provide an integrated service to women before, during and after labour. The team aims to support women to give birth where they want and how they want, taking into account their cultural and religious background along with their health status.
Antenatal care is shared between our midwives and GPs, known as ‘shared care’. If there are complications in the pregnancy then care will be shared between our midwives and obstetricians and this is known as ‘full care’.

Women who are expecting uncomplicated pregnancies and would like to give birth at home will receive the support of a dedicated midwife from the Crocus Team.
