Essential flooring works underway

Patients, visitors and staff at Croydon University Hospital are advised that essential flooring improvement works are taking place in the hospital's main entrance area this week.

The works are being carried out overnight and will continue until Thursday 29 October, between 9.00pm and 6.00am each night, to help improve the environment and ensure the continued safety of all who use the entrance.

Temporary access changes

During the works, the following areas will be closed:

  • Main entrance doors
  • Escalators
  • Doors leading into and out of the main entrance area

Barriers and directional signage will be in place overnight to safely guide patients, visitors and staff around the affected area. These will be removed each morning once work has been completed.

Alternative route to London Wing

Throughout the duration of the works, access to and from the London Wing will be via the Heart Centre/Elective doors on London Road.

Anyone visiting the hospital during these times is encouraged to allow a little extra time for their journey and follow the temporary signage in place.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank everyone for their patience and cooperation while these essential improvements are carried out.
