We also offer a tertiary service for abdominal wall reconstruction including the use of pre operative botox.
· We provide elective and emergency laparoscopic cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal) for patients with gallstones and pancreatitis, and we offer bile duct exploration in selected cases.
· We perform around 40-50 anti-reflux/hiatus hernia operations per year for patients with heartburn and reflux, including the Linx procedure.
· We remove minor skin lesions including lipomas and cysts routinely.
· Our patients benefit from discussion in Upper GI, Abdominal Wall and Sarcoma Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings. We regularly contribute to national audits to ensure quality care, including GECKO (Global Evaluation of Cholecystectomy Knowledge and Outcomes), The National Hiatal Surgery Registry and The British Hernia Society Registry.
