Croydon’s Medical Director, Dr Nnenna Osuji named as a finalist at this year’s Women of the Year Awards

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust's Medical Director and Deputy Chief Executive Nnenna Osuji has been nominated for the Business Women of the Year 2019, with the winners due to be announced at an exclusive event on Friday 25 October.

Dr Osuji has served the NHS for almost 25 years and was appointed Medical Director at the Trust in 2015. As the Medical Director, Dr Osuji has the most senior medical position in the Trust and oversees our medical workforce, providing professional leadership, support and accountability and championing improvement across the Croydon system with the launch of Croydon Quality Improvement (CQI). Alongside her leadership role, Nnenna maintains her clinical practice as a Consultant Haemotologist and is committed to ensuring all of her patients get the best possible care.

In addition to her roles in Croydon, Dr Osuji is an active member of the national Clinical Research Network for Cancer and sits on the Chemotherapy and Pharmacy Advisory Service Committee.

The Women of the Year Luncheon and Awards honours the most inspiring and impactful female role models in the UK. The high profile event celebrates and showcases the achievements of women in business to a nationwide audience. The annual award provides an exceptional opportunity to acknowledge the most outstanding women who provide inspiration across all areas of society and the business community.

Dr Osuji is nominated for the covered business honour alongside entrepreneurs and members of industry organisations from both the private and public sectors. 

The 37th Women of the Year Luncheon and Awards will be hosted this year by British actress Sally Lindsay at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. Funds will be raised on the night for nominated charities.
