About us

IMPORTANT COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: If you are on immunosuppressant medicines, it is very important that you check the latest guidance to know how to protect yourself from coronavirus (COVID-19). Patients receiving neurological treatment can read the guidance here from the Association of British Neurologists: ABN_Neurology_COVID-19_Guidance

The Neurophysiology department provides electro-diagnostic testing for a wide range of neurological conditions including epilepsy, peripheral nerve entrapment and nerve or muscle disease.

The department provides consultant lead EMG clinics, clinical physiologist led NCS clinics for carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar nerve entrapment, as well as routine EEG, sleep deprived EEG and medication induced sleep EEG.

The Neurophysiology department forms part of Croydon University Hospital’s Hyper Acute Neurology Team (HANT) which provides rapid assessment and diagnostic testing for patients admitted by GP’s to the acute admissions wards for neurological conditions.
