We are excited to be holding a recruitment open day for nurses considering a career in paediatrics, and for those who want to further their experience within this specialty.

We are looking for nurses to join our expanding paediatric nursing teams; you’ll also have the opportunity to care for young people in our new state of the art children’s care unit.

The open day will be a great opportunity for you to meet with some of our clinical team, learn more about the trust, the job opportunities we have, and how we can support your career. 

At the open day we are offering exciting opportunities for:

  • Band 5 Paediatric Staff Nurses
  • Band 6 Paediatric Junior Sisters/ Charge Nurses
  • Band 6 Paediatric Emergency Department - Junior Sisters/ Charge Nurses

We will be assessing and interviewing on the day so if you are interested in joining the paediatric team, apply today and come along for a visit. If you wish to be interviewed on the day, please ensure you arrive by 12pm at the latest.

We are looking for nurses of all levels to join our expanding paediatric nursing teams. We deliver care to almost 52,000 young people each year, in our Emergency Department, across our inpatient wards and out in our community through a dedicated Children's Hospital at Home team.

Working in Croydon, you’ll also have the opportunity to care for young people in our new state of the art children’s care unit.

The multi-million pound facility, currently known as the PIU (paediatric integrated unit) will house a medical ward, surgical ward and a short stay unit, for children and young people who need to be admitted to hospital and includes the addition of a brand new critical care unit and children’s cancer unit, allowing the Trust to provide care closer to home for even more of the borough’s sickest children. It will also provide improved facilities for patients and visitors, such as family spaces and relaxation rooms. You can find out more about the unit here.
