Day in the Life Season 2 Episode 2 - Operational Theatres Team

Day in the Life: Talented Teams

After last week’s launch of season two, we’re back with our next episode of Day in the Life, a video series where we take you behind-the-scenes to showcase how our #TeamCroydon colleagues are caring for our patients.

Offering you a deeper perspective into what keeps #TeamCroydon going, we speak to our staff teams on the frontline and in essential support roles, to find out in their own words:

· What do they enjoy most about their role?

· What their team spirit is like?

· What makes them proud to work for Croydon Health Services NHS Trust?

The Operating Theatres, in our Croydon Elective Centre, opened up their doors to us this week, giving us a very close look into what they do on a daily basis.

We were introduced to many members of the team, including Consultants, Theatre Practitioners, Recovery Nurses and Student Nurses.

We were even given the opportunity to get up close and personal, as Dr Ravi Mallina, Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon, invited us to capture one of his hand surgery operations from beginning to end. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for this separate video coming out on Tuesday 4 May!

Check out the Operating Theatres ‘Day in the Life’ video below or you can find it on our Instagram: @croydonhealthservices  and our Twitter: @croydonhealth

Watch out for the remainder of series two, where we will continue to highlight the great efforts of our fantastic #TeamCroydon colleagues – next up is our Children’s Asthma team.
