Purley War Memorial Hospital
There are long-term plans to build a brand new diagnostic, outpatient and health service centre on this site in the south of the borough.
Services currently provided are:
Urgent Care Centre:
This nurse-led service is for patients who have a minor illness or medical problem that is not life threatening but they would like to see someone urgently. No referral or appointment necessary.
Opening times
8am to 8pm seven days a week.
Last registration is 7pm which ensures patients receive a thorough assessment. Anyone arriving after this time will be advised of alternative locations where they can receive treatment.
X-ray is available 9 am to 7pm Monday to Friday. There is no x-ray facility at weekends or Bank Holidays.
Staffing
The service is staffed by a receptionist, one emergency nurse or advanced nurse practitioner and one staff nurse from 8am to 8pm.
A radiographer provides x-ray support from 9am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday.
There are no doctors available for this service. Some of the nursing staff are independent prescribers.
