Purley War Memorial Hospital
The Trust has begun the exciting £11.15million refurbishment of the Purley War Memorial Hospital using government funding.
Currently the only service available on this site is the Urgent Care Centre
Urgent Care Service at Purley Hospital
8 am to 8pm, seven days a week.
Please note that the last people will be booked in between 7pm and 7.30pm to ensure patients receive a thorough assessment. If you arrive after this time staff will advise you on alternatives.
From Monday 10 December there will be no access to X-ray facilities from then until March 2013. People requiring X-rays will be redirected to the Urgent Care Centre at Croydon University Hospital (open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)
We are sorry for any inconvenience but are sure local people will agree it will be worth it worth it once the new healthcare facility reopens fully in the summer of 2013.
Alternative services for people with urgent but not life threatening conditions can be found at:
Minor Injuries Unit (MIU), Parkway Health Centre, New Addington
Urgent Care Centre (UCC) at Croydon University Hospital
Edridge Road Community Health Centre
The Purley based blood testing service has relocated to Keston House Medical Practice in Brighton Road and is held every Friday from 08.30 – 17.00 with a break for lunch between 12.30 – 13.30.
All appointments for Keston House will continue to be booked via the Trust’s Phlebotomy Department and patients are asked to call 0208 401 3420 to make an appointment for this service.
The Croydon University Hospital walk-in blood testing service will continue as normal.
