Service overview

There are two pain clinics a week for Outpatient appointments. They take place at Purley War Memorial Hospital and Croydon University Hospital.  

The clinic reviews patient medications and offers advice and consultations to enable patients to manage their pain. The clinic offers minor interventions such as nerve blocks, facet joint and trigger point injections and caudal epidurals. All treatments are done at Croydon University Hospital in day surgery.  All patients are followed-up in clinic to see the outcome of advice given and recommended medications. 


We treat

We treat patients with chronic and neuropathic pain and attempt to find the cause of the pain, and if we can’t, we discuss with the patient different options of pain relief initially looking at activities that maybe beneficial to them.  If these do not help then we will offer minor interventions.
