The Chartwell Cancer Trust is raising vital funds toward a dedicated children's cancer unit on site at Croydon University Hospital. The charity is inviting supporters, businesses, schools, and community groups to join forces by wearing green on Wednesday 6 April and we want you to get involved!

Chartwell Cancer Trust Lilypad Appeal
Raising £750,000 for our new children's cancer unit
We are joining up with The Chartwell Cancer Trust to raise £750,000 for the new oncology unit in our brand new paediatric village at Croydon University Hospital.
The unit will transform the patient experience for children, young people and their families who are dealing with cancer and the possibility of spending up to two years in treatment for their illness.

The new integrated Paediatric Village, which is due to open in 2022, is specifically designed to meet the needs of children and their families. It will provide an improved environment, accommodating state of the art technology that will help to deliver high-quality treatment in modern surroundings and meet the future demands of children’s healthcare.
The Paediatric Village will include:
Spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. • Fully effective isolation layout to ensure infection control. • Specialist therapy facilities such as therapeutic play areas. • A vibrant and uplifting environment. • Improved equipment and storage facilities. • Family spaces and facilities (kitchen, rest and day visiting areas). • A team base for medical staff (including kitchen and hot desks).
