When did you join CHS?

I joined the Trust in April 2014.

What made you come to the Trust?

I had a telephone conversation with our previous Trust Director of Nursing Zoe Packman about my role. After this conversation, I really got the impression that CHS was a very friendly place to work. Zoe explained that the role could be very challenging, and I do like a challenge.

What is the best thing about your job?

The best thing about my job is making a difference to our patients and promoting empathy and compassion. I always say to staff to put themselves in a patient’s shoes to see what experiences they have.

What is the one thing you are determined to achieve in your role over the next six months?

To have everybody in the Trust trained in complaints handling. We have received lots of great feedback about our sessions.

What do most people not know about you?

I’m a first time grandmother to my six month old grandson Bolan, and I’m absolutely loving it!

What is the number one item on your bucket list?

From a work perspective, it is to achieve 100 per cent complaints compliance, which means responding to all complaints as quickly as possible. Currently we are 91 per cent compliant.
