Service overview

The Croydon Sexual Health Centre provides a free, comprehensive and confidential sexual health service including:

  • Testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
  • Treatment of other genital infections
  • HIV testing, treatment and care
  • Same day HIV testing (POCT)
  • Treatment following sexual exposure to HIV (PEPSE)
  • Emergency contraception
  • Abortion advice and referral
  • Counseling
  • Specialist clinic for young people 18 years and under (The Point Clinic)
  • Tests results via text

We treat

All STIs, and other genito-urinary conditions (see above)

Referral criteria

This is an open access service, so patients can self-refer.

No referral is necessary, however if you have seen a patient and already started management or investigations, some written information regarding treatments tried or results obtained is extremely useful for the receiving clinician.

We will see adults and young people under 18 who are sexual active, however children who are believed to be victims of sexual abuse ought to be
