Fertility
From Monday 22ndApril 2013 the Fertility Unit will be relocating to a newly refurbished Fertility Treatment Centre within Croydon University Hospital.
You can find us on Hospital Way, past the Maternity Unit car park. If you are coming on foot the nearest entrance is in Woodcroft Road.

We are proud to continue to achieve excellent pregnancy success rates which are consistently above the national average and the centre will provide both NHS funded and self-funded IVF/ICSI treatment cycles.
Our friendly team aims to support couples through every stage of their treatment and we are now able to provide both scanning and phlebotomy services within the centre and can also arrange further support if required with a specialist counsellor.

The office is staffed from 8.30 to 16.00 Monday to Friday. However at busy times you may have to leave a message on our answer phone and your call will be returned as soon as we are able.
Referral is by GP or hospital consultant and is for couples who require specialist fertility investigation and / or treatment (with or without NHS funding).
Investigations available include:
- Comprehensive male and female assessments
- Hormone profiles
- Semen analysis
- Cycle monitoring
- Ultrasound scans
- Hysterosalpingogram
- Hysteroscopy
- Laparoscopy/Dye test
Assisted conception treatments that may be provided or arranged by the unit include:
- Ovulation Induction
- Clomiphene (Clomid) with cycle monitoring
- IVF / ICSI
- Surgical Sperm Retrieval

What should I bring to my appointment?
- All present medication
- Results and reports from any previous fertility treatment /investigations
Passport. - If you do not hold a British passport you are also required to provide an EHIC card for EU countries or a valid visa.
What time should I arrive for my appointment?
Promptly although due to the nature of the clinic it may not always be possible to see you at your exact appointment time. Please be prpared to spend up to 2 hours in the unit for a consultation.

We provide a 24hr Emergency Nurse on call service.
Information regarding SFA, Cycle monitoring, Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) and Clomid treatment is available from the fertility unit office.
