Diabetes
We treat:
- Patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes
- Young patients with type 1 diabetes (in specialist clinics)
- Patients with kidney disease related to their diabetes

In addition, we have a weekly clinic based in Purley Hospital primarily for patients from the southern end of the borough.
We have a dedicated diabetes inpatient ward and an active involvement with the Wound Care Centre for patients with diabetes related foot problems within the hospital.
We support educational courses such as the DAFNE course (carbohydrate counting in type 1 diabetes), and are about to launch an insulin pump (CSII) clinic for local patients. Our consultant staff also participates in community outreach clinics.
