Post Graduate Medical Centre

The Croydon Medical & Dental Education Centre is a charitable organisation. The Trustees were granted a licence of 99 years in 1986 giving exclusive rights for the Centre premises to be used for postgraduate medical education.

Its use is shared with other groups of staff, not just doctors and dentists, for training purposes.

The Centre contains four seminar rooms with a range of audio-visual equipment and an X-ray box.

There is also a large & a small lecture theatre with similar facilities plus a microscope & visualiser.

The Conservatory is used for teaching and meetings but has limited equipment.

There is also a ten station fully equipped Dental Skills Laboratory.

Clinical Skills Simulation Centre

This is a multi disciplinary centre for all healthcare teams across the NHS. It offers modern, fully equipped skills teaching facilities.

The simulation room lets staff to experience scenarios which would not normally happen. Just like aviation, where pilots must undertake simulation training a number of times a year, it allows staff to prepare themselves for a variety of situations.

The facility is open to all healthcare teams and offers skills and simulation training across all disciplines. It is located on the 2nd Floor, Woodcroft Wing, Red Zone.
